What is the difference between Raw hair and Virgin hair?
Lets start with the true definition of virgin hair because it’s very important:
- Virgin Hair: Human hair that has never been chemically or mechanically manipulated.
- Raw Hair: Raw hair, is by true definition, virgin hair. However, the hair industry has been flooded with all types of hair that the word “raw” needed to be incorporated to properly differentiate between real virgin hair, “raw”, and processed virgin hair.
Raw hair will come in 3 basic textures; Straight, Wavy, & Curly. Anything else is processed. Body Wave, Kinky Curly, Exotic Curly, Loose and Deep Wave are all examples of processed virgin hair.
The main advantages to having 100% unprocessed Hair are as follows:
- Fuller bundles
- Higher quality and longer lasting hair
- Natural looking and flowing hair that blends with all hair types
- Cuticle aligned hair. No matting
- No chemical processing
- Hair is purely from one person no blended lengths or hair additives.

Does the hair pattern change after being washed and conditioned?
Our hair is 100% pure and unprocessed meaning that no chemicals or steam has been used to manipulate the hair from it’s natural form except Burmese curly (steam processed only for texture (water only) & occasionally special collections.
Please note that no two bundles are identical, especially with curly hair. So your hair will be similar to the photos, but not identical.
Once the hair has been washed and/or conditioned, the hair’s natural textures will appear. The added bonus to having the original donor's hair pattern, vs a steamed hair pattern is the wave/curl pattern doesn’t drop as seen with steamed processed hair.
How long will my hair extensions last?
Please keep in mind that no 2 people care for their hair the same way. There are so many factors to consider; products used, climate, water, how often hair is washed, heating tools, and of course how you individually care for our hair. However, considering the best proper care is being done, we have seen our hair last a minimum of 2 years and longer.
How much hair will I need?
A common frequently asked question that we receive is how many bundles are required for an install with our hair? A common misconception that occurs is customers will generally use virgin hair equivalents, or base their quantity amounts from previous companies. Due to the quality of hair we source, and the procedures used when creating our wefts we ensure that you will always receive the fullest bundles possible. Please see below the recommended quantities for our products.
- If you are purchasing lengths between 12″ & 18″ you will need 2 to 2 1/2 bundles. Depending on the fullness you want to achieve.
- If you are purchasing lengths between 20″ & 30″ you will need 3 bundles or more.
- If you are purchasing lengths between 30″ & UP you will need 4 bundles.
Always use your longest length to determine the correct amount of hair to purchase. Example: If you are purchasing a 16″/18″/20″ you will need 3 bundles.
These requirements apply to traditional sew-ins, closure and frontal sew-ins and/or units. Very Important: Do Not skip purchasing a bundle because you choose to purchase a closure or frontal. In rare cases if your length is not available we will comp a longer length as a courtesy.
Is it ok to color, bleach or use heat tools on my extensions?
You can absolutely treat your new hair just as you would your own. Because our hair is completely unprocessed one of the major benefits is you can color, cut, curl or straighten it any style you desire. Please consult a professional colorist for best results before dying the hair!
*Please note that our curly hair textures should not be brushed as it can get frizzy. It is best to use a wide tooth comb or your fingers to scrunch. All of our curly/wavy hair textures will straighten and revert back to their original wave/curl pattern again when wet.
Do you offer bundle deals?
We now offer bundle deals, but only in the most requested lengths. The reason it is limited is because we are providing you with some of the finest hair on the market today (which can be difficult to find).
*We can create a custom invoice for any items if they are not available. Sorry our items go fast! But we have a solution.
Processing Times: The following processing times apply are as follows, per hair type being ordered.( Most Shipments arrive before this, but some things are out of our control)
- Straight & Wavy Bundles in 1B: (Up to 7-10 Business Days)
- Wavy Curly & Curly Bundles: (Up to 7-10 Business Days)
- All Grey and Blonde: (Up to 21 Days)
- All Closures and Frontals (Up to 7-10 Business Days)
- All custom invoices 7-14 business days
All orders placed over the weekend and/or any federal holidays will begin processing the following business day. Once your order is prepared for shipping a shipping confirmation with your tracking number will be sent to you via the email address you provided. If any item is lost in transit or undeliverable we will open a case to track your package. After your packaged is signed for we are no longer responsible for lost or stolen packages.
All packages require a delivery confirmation signature to protect the client and Hair Habit Extensions.
You may incur additional charges via international custom charging policy. You are responsible for these charges whereas HAIR HABIT's shipping cost covers only the importation of your order into your country.
We only Ship product to confirmed addresses. The address has to confirm via PayPal or whatever form of payment you choose. FOR EXAMPLE** If the shipping address is not the same as the billing address connected with you ATM/Debit/Checking Account it will not confirm.* This protects the client & Hair Habit Extensions. Once Hair Habit ships your package with verified tracking you are 100% percent responsible for retrieving your package.

Can hair extensions be returned or exchanged?
Due to Sanitary/Health concerns and regulations, there are no refunds on our Hair Extensions. Under very rare circumstances, an exchange may be authorized. *Please see our return/exchange policy under the contact us tab for more information.
What is the origin of your hair?
Indian Hair - Chennai and New Delhi India
Cambodian Hair - Cambodia
Burmese - Myanmar, Burma
What is the difference between Indian, Cambodian, and Burmese Hair?
Indian Hair has a more silky texture than both the Cambodian and Burmese Hair. Both the Cambodian and Burmese Hair have a thicker more coarse texture. The Burmese hair is a little more coarse than the Cambodian hair. The Burmese hair is also fuller than both the Cambodian and Indian because of the curly curl pattern.
Has this hair been processed or chemically treated?
No chemicals have been used on our hair.
Both our Indian and Cambodian Hair is in its natural state. Our Burmese Hair is steamed for the curl pattern. Occasionally we release special collections that are steamed with water only.

What happens if I open a Chargeback?
As of June 1, 2018 any customer who opens a chargeback will be charged a $50 chargeback fee. All chargebacks will be disputed with our merchant processor and our bank. If you are a member your Member Access will be blocked and you will no longer be able to purchase from our company. You will have 30 calendar days from the initial chargeback to settle any outstanding balance with our company. If you do not settle the balance we will turn your account over to our collection agency.
